As a theatre practitioner and teaching artist throughout Chicagoland, and Kristyn has worked with the education programs at American Theatre Company, Arden Theatre, Bloomington Public Library, Chicago Dramatists, Mudlark Theater Company, and Northlight Theatre. Prior to moving to Chicago, she trained with Philadelphia’s Arden Theatre as an Arden Professional Apprentice. Kristyn works throughout the city as an actress and choreographer. Most recently, she collaborated with A Red Orchid’s Youth Ensemble to choreograph Our City, Ourselves, which was part of Now Is The Time, a city-wide initiative to end youth violence. In addition, Phenomena, an original piece she choreographed in collaboration with Red Tape’s Fresh Eyes Project, was presented at the 2013 Chicago Fringe Festival. She has worked creatively with First Folio Theatre, Genesis Ensemble, Red Tape, Tympanic Theatre, and the Chicago Fringe Festival. In addition, she has studied sketch and improvisational comedy at iO and is a graduate of The Second City Conservatory. Most recently, Kristyn joined the team at NBC’s Chicago Fire.
