Katherine Scott is a teaching artist, dancer, and choreographer in the Chicago area. She recently graduated from Northwestern University with a bachelor’s degree in Dance, Psychology, and Theatre, with a concentration in Theatre for Young Audiences. Katherine has performed in works by Jeff Hancock, Laura Wade, Amanda Lower, and Vanessa Voskuil, and she performed Hancock’s “Impolite Society” in the American College Dance Festival Association’s 2014 National College Dance Festival at the Kennedy Center. She recently had her choreography featured in Jump Rhythm Jazz Project’s 2015 show, GETTING DOWN, GOING FORWARD. Her choreography was also selected to represent Northwestern at ACDFA’s North-Central Regional Conference and was chosen for American Dance Festival’s 2013 Student Concert. Katherine teaches drama through Mudlark Theater, and she teaches dance, Zumba, and creative movement for individuals with cognitive and developmental differences at Dovetail Studios. Katherine is currently working as company member and Education Director of Striding Lion Performance Group under the direction of Amanda Lower.
