Kat Wilson is a new resident of Chicago, and excited to be a part of the Dream Big Teaching Staff. She graduated from Baylor University with a BFA in Theatre Performance. During her artistic career, she has developed a passion for many aspects of the theatrical process including the way theatre circulates stories, based on truth, in order to generate empathy in the world. Many of her projects as actor/collaborator include those of original or devised works in a post modern style. Through these experiences, she declares theatre as a process for the encouragement of personal discovery and development. Her favorite roles include Nora in Nora, Cassidy Lafayette in Appropriate, and Ensemble member in Arabian Nights. She claims theatre as a medium to embolden students to take ownership of their own creativity and an outlet to allow them to develop confidence within themselves and their abilities. She is ready to explore with the students of Dream Big and delighted to continue to create with the youth in Chicago.
