Britta Schlict

Britta Schlict is thrilled to be joining Dream Big Performing Arts Workshop for her first year! Originally from Madison, WI, Britta is a passionate theatre educator, choreographer, and director new to the Chicago area. A 2013 graduate and Founders Scholar of Indiana University, Britta earned her degrees in Secondary Theatre and English Education with a particular enthusiasm towards leadership in dance and musical theatre. Britta has been sharing her love for arts education through her 8 years teaching at various schools and companies in the Midwest. Other theatre education credentials include Education Director/Youth Director and Choreographer- Improv Playhouse Theatre (Libertyville, IL), Teaching Artist- Emerald City Theatre (Chicago, IL), Director of Theatre- Carmel High School (Carmel, IN), and Youth Theatre Director -Children’s Theatre of Madison (Madison, WI). Britta has also choreographed professionally for the Jedlicka Performing Arts Center, Middleton Players Theatre, Improv Playhouse Theatre, among several high schools and middle schools. Additionally a performer, Britta has most recently been seen onstage with the Chicago Kids Company, Prop Theatre, MadKap Productions, and Middleton Players Theatre.
